Pastor Ken Brown is a graduate of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Westminster Theological Seminary. He served for nine years as Associate Pastor at Huron Baptist Church in Flat Rock, MI. In 2001, HBC commissioned Pastor Brown to lead a church-plant team in establishing a new work. He serves with his wife, Kimberly, and their two daughters Elayna and Anna.

Pastor Matt Owen and his wife Erica came to Community in 2007. Matt has been on staff since 2009 and serves as Associate Pastor. He graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006 and lives in Allen Park. Matt and Erica have three children: Stella, Ruby, and Schaeffer.

Rich and Tracy Carrico had been faithful members of Huron Baptist Church for fifteen years when the church commissioned them to assist in the establishment of CBC. They bring a variety of gifts to Community. Rich is the chairman of the deacons as well as the church treasurer, and Tracy uses her many talents in a number of areas including as Nursery Coordinator and Event Coordinator. They serve with their two children, Jessica, and Nicholas.

Larry and Julie Castle have worked together in youth ministry since 1994. In 2001, they were sent by Inter-City Baptist Church to join the church planting team from Huron Baptist Church to help establish CBC. Julie assists Larry in CBC's High Impact Students ministry. Larry also serves as Deacon, Electronic Communications Coordinator, and Assistant to the Pastor. Larry and Julie serve with their three daughters Emma, Claire, and Susannah.
