Community Institute
This semester Community Institute features the Discovery Series, designed to teach the foundational teachings of Christianity in a relaxed environment. The Discovery Series is ideal for any seeking to begin or renew a walk with Christ. It all takes place Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. at Patrick Henry Middle School (24825 Hall Road, between West and Van Horn - see map to the left). Nursery is provided.

Discovering God
Sunday mornings at 11:00, we gather in Woodhaven High School for Discovering God. In this hour, Ken Brown teaches us what the Bible says about God and how we can have a relationship with Him. Although designed for those who want to be introduced to God, all who desire to know more about establishing and nurturing a relationship with their Creator will benefit from this class. Pastor Ken teaches the truths of Christianity in everyday language and his messages are designed to address the needs of real people living in a real world. The sessions take place in a relaxed atmosphere that allows for questions.

Community Groups
Community Groups meet Sunday evenings at various homes for discussion, refreshments, and prayer in an informal setting. We currently have eight Community Groups: Two both in Woodhaven and Flat Rock and one each in Carlton, Taylor, Southgate, and Allen Park. For more information on Community Groups, see the brochures on the information table or contact our Community Group Coordinator. All are welcome to attend (kids too!).

Crossroads
Crossroads is a diverse group of singles between the ages of 18 and 29. We have everything from college students to young professionals to single moms. Crossroads meets at least two times a month for meals, activities, and service. We also meet to study the Bible certain Sundays during the year at Woodhaven High School. Please check the CBC calendar for the next Crossroads activity, and for more information contact Matt and Erica Owen. We’d love to have you as part of our group!

High Impact Students
High Impact Students is for guys and girls from grades 7 through 12. We meet each Sunday during the Discovering God hour at Woodhaven High School to study and discuss what the Bible says about a variety of topics that are important to today's teens. On Wednesday nights during Community Institute at Patrick Henry Middle School we meet for what we call Life Together where we explore God's purpose for our lives and how we should live together. It usually starts with a crazy game or other fun activity, followed by a small group Q & A time. Then we finish the night by having a group study and discussion on that week's topic. Community Kids
During our Sunday morning Discovering God hour at Woodhaven High School, we provide a fun, structured environment where kids can learn about God on their level. All our children's and youth ministries are staffed by trained personnel who have completed our Child Protection Course.

Kids 4 Truth
Kids 4 Truth is a Christ-centered ministry for kids K-6th that is designed to teach the truths of the Bible in a structured yet fun environment. Kids 4 Truth meet every Wednesday night during Community Institute at Patrick Henry Middle School. For more information, contact Carrie Banks.

Leadership Institute
Leadership Institute is designed to assist men in becoming leaders in the home, church, and workplace, with particular emphasis on the mission of the church and our role within it. Participation in Leadership Institute is a requirement for the office of deacon, and strongly recommended for any man who leads or desires to lead a ministry at CBC.
